Responsibilities

Sales Manager Responsibilities:

  • Booking room only group business of 30 or less rooms, on peak
  • Ensuring accurate and prompt response to incoming leads
  • Solicit new and existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals through telephone solicitations, face to face meetings, site inspections, and written communication
  • Developing new leads through continued prospecting
  • Staying current on competitive set
  • Using innovative sales efforts with key clients
  • Maintaining relationships with all clients
  • Participating in customer meeting, property tours and promotional events within the hotels and trade related organizations
  • Follow efficient sales office procedures, maintain professionalism for productive use of time and ensure the maintenance of accurate and updated account files, report systems and follow-up procedures
  • Work with other departments within the hotels and outlets to provide quality service to our customers
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

What you’ll need as a Sales Manager:

Experience: 1+ years’ experience in a hotel sales role preferred

Education: College/University Degree in Hospitality/Tourism or related program is preferred

Other Qualifications:

  • Possess strong prospecting, relationship building and negotiating skills
  • Possess a proven revenue-generating track record
  • Need to be self-motivated and able to work with little supervision
  • Computer skills including: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint or related sales programs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
